Manitowoc, Wisconsin Severe Weather Scenes – 7/23/2022

Several rounds of severe weather occurred across the state, including large hail up to quarter-sized hail in the Elkhorn, Wisconsin area, flash flooding in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, damaging winds, blinding rain, and a breathtaking shelf cloud from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. These storms occurred between 6:30-9 PM on July 23, 2022.

00:00 Video of large hail falling near Elkhorn, Wisconsin, just before 9 PM on July 23, 2022, around I-43 and Hwy 12. Video shows almost zero visibility and vehicles stopping along the side of the road due to poor driving conditions.

01:00 Video shows heavy rain and strong winds with a squall line working through Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

01:11 Heavy rain in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from the same squall line that came through Manitowoc, Wisconsin, resulted in flooding along several spots of I-43. This clip is from I-43 and National Ave in Milwaukee, where the left and middle lane portions had several inches of standing water on the roadway.
