Land-spout Tornado in Gila Bend & Building Fire from Lightning in Phoenix, AZ – 7/11/2018

Strong monsoon thunderstorms impacted parts of South Central Arizona on July 11, 2018, spawning a land-spout tornado near Gila Bend.

In addition, heavy rain and lightning caused a massive three-alarm fire at a Safeway grocery store in Phoenix after the building was reportedly struck by lightning.
