On April 17, 2013 Missouri and the Midwest was rocked with heavy rains over the same areas.
Davis Creek in Sweet Springs, Missouri was flooded out on April 17, 2013 with fields and the frontage road. The road is impassable with the water hight being a foot below the bottom of the Speed Limit sign. On April 20, 2013 the Platte River is starting to hit flood stage. The river is expected to rise a few more feet and reach Moderate Flooding with in the next 48 hours. The river is already high and has flooded out a few farm field. Given the forecast for Monday, April 22, 2013 and the National Weather Service expecting roughly the possibility of another inch of rain the Platte River and other local Creeks have to the potencial to accumulate more run off and expected in my opinion to rise.
