Icy roads lead to several wrecks across Twin Cities – 3/16/2023

A winter storm worked through the Twin Cities this afternoon and evening, bringing slick and icy conditions across the Metro as rain changed to snow, with the temperatures quickly dropping across the region. Due to the quick changeover, MnDOT crews were not able to pre-treat roads as well as they normally would, leading to slick and icy roads all across the Metro. The following clips are from Minneapolis, Burnsville, and Eagan, Minnesota, showing the wrecks that were caused by the slick conditions.
