High wind warnings and wind advisories are in effect for all of the NYC Metro and surrounding areas through mid morning on Friday, February 18th. With the peak of the high winds and heavy rains forecast between Midnight tonight and 7am Eastern Time tomorrow morning. With some elevated CAPE in place, there is also the chance of some thunderstorms as well overnight, and a few severe thunderstorms are also possible. The HRRR is forecasting a potential squall line moving through the NYC metro between 6-7am ET.
