Thunderstorms East of Slater, IA – 8/19/2016

On August 19, 2016 I was 1 mile east of Slater Iowa along the bike trail watching strong thunderstorms in the area. I was looking for lightning but did not get any strikes in my area. While watching the storms roll in I shot video of the approaching system. As the outflow boundary passed I had gusty winds of 30 to 40MPH. Heavy rain soon followed.
