On August 19, 2016 I was 1 mile east of Slater Iowa along the bike trail watching strong thunderstorms in the area. I was looking for lightning but did not get any strikes in my area. While watching the storms roll in I shot video of the approaching system. As the outflow boundary passed I had gusty winds of 30 to 40MPH. Heavy rain soon followed.
Clip 1 – Wide shot of strong thunderstorm to my east.
Clip 2 – Zoomed in shot looking ENE of the same strong storm as in clip 1.
Clip 3 – Wide shot looking west towards Slater of ominous storm clouds moving in.
Clip 4 – Wide shot looking north of ominous clouds moving in.
Clip 5 – Zoomed in shot of milk weed and grasses blowing in the post outflow boundry winds of 30 to 40MPH.
Clip 6 & 7 – Time lapse of shelf cloud and storm as it approaches from the west. I had to split the time lapse because of a camera issue.
