The first of several winter storm systems to effect the Western Great Lakes region produced consistent light to moderate snowfall across Grand Rapids/West Michigan during the morning/midday hours. A fine, wet snow accumulating to 1/1 1/2\" was enough to create slick road conditions for the morning/midday commute.
