Topeka, Kansas has been under a Winter Weather Advisory and a Wind Chill Advisory this evening, Saturday, January 3, 2015. The snow started to fall lightly around 6pm in the evening and by the time I was able to make it to town the ground was covered in snow. It is hard to decide how much snow has fallen given the strong Northwest winds that came through with the cold front. Interstate 70 was slick in a lot of spots (almost all of the road is a bridge) and between the exits of NW Mac Vicar Ave and Gage Blvd there was a multi car wreck which shut down about a mile or so of Interstate.
