10/29/2010 Boulder Canyon Fire, Boulder CO Slurry Drop Video

Friday their was a wild fire in the rugged terrain outside of Boulder, CO and Weather Paparazzi Justin King was on the scene to document the fire fighters struggling to put out the fire. The video opens with shots of command vehicles, agencies on scene at that time, hot shot crews on the hill side and crews walking by plus some initial slurry drops. Video progresses into active fire on hillside and then some final slurry drops before the planes were going to return to base for the night.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says the fire started on public land around 8:10 a.m. Friday in the Elephant Buttress area of the canyon. No structures have been lost as of 6 PM local. At one point more than 1,700 people had been forced to evacuate. Fire Investigators believe this fire was started by humans.
