Overnight Storm Cause Flash Flooding in Herrin, IL – 7/13/2017

A second round of storms plowed across southern Illinois late Thursday evening after dark dropping another 1-3 inches of rain leading to flash flooding in many areas. Flash Flood Warnings were issued for parts of the region as this was one of several rounds of heavy-rain producing storms that hit the area. Herrin received nearly 1.5 inches of rain in 30 minutes causing significant street flooding in town.
