Winter Accident Cleanup Of UTV Underwater Recovery, Minong, WI – 4/17/2020

The ice might be off the lakes in the Upper Midwest but the cleanup continues as crews are still removing the various snow toys that fell through the thin ice in the past few weeks.

About three weeks ago while there was still ice on the areas lakes. A UTV went through the ice on Chico lake in Washburn County, WI.

The occupants were able to escape without injury as the UTV sunk to the bottom in 20 feet of water.

The recovery team had to wait for ice out to recover the UTV, as ice conditions for the past few weeks have not been safe.

Footage includes setup and UTV recovery from the water and bring it on shore.
