Multiple rounds of thunderstorms, occasionally severe, associated with a very active monsoon pattern produced heavy rains and localized flash flooding across portions of Phoenix, Arizona Friday afternoon and evening. Video sequence begins in Avondale (west of Phoenix) showcasing the most intense portion of rainfall/flooding. One vehicle became temporarily stalled due to the influx of water along Van Buren Street. The video then jumps back to earlier Friday (noon/early afternoon) between Black Canyon City (north of Phoenix) and Dewey, AZ for an evolution of the storms. Sequence concludes with a full rainbow shot over the Phoenix region, viewed looking east/southeast from the high terrain of Buckeye.
