6/28/2014 Saint Paul, MN Flash Flooding & Heavy Rain B-Roll

 

With numerous rivers under flood warnings that have crested or about to crest, the last thing the Twin Cities area needed was more rain.

Footage shot around downtown Saint Paul, MN, except shot 2 which was in Lakeville, MN of the clouds.

Video is pretty much two packages merged into one long heavy rain and flooding package with flash flooding on Kellogg Blvd. in downtown Saint Paul and B-roll of the flooding at Harriet Island in Saint Paul with additional shots at the Downtown Saint Paul Airport.

Clip 1 Downtown Saint Paul, MN skyline from Mounds park as one of the several waves of rain moved in from the training storms.

Clip 2 Dark Skies over Lakeville, MN at County Road 70 and Interstate 35 (south side of town)

Clip 3 High winds and heavy rain pound the area as the first line of storms move in.

Clip 4 – 5 POV driving shot in downtown Saint Paul.

Clip 6 A couple walking with Umbrellas along Kellogg Blvd. as the heavy rain falls and cars end up splashing them from the flooded out road.

Clip 22 Heavy rain falls as the flood wall holds back the Mississippi River from overtaking the Downtown Saint Paul Airport. Part of the runway on the other side of the flood wall is now part of the river.

Clip 23-24 On top of the flood wall at the Downtown Saint Paul Airport that is helping to hold back the Mississippi River.
