05/15/2010 Campo, CO Mega Hail storm

A severe thunderstorm exploded over the small town of Campo, Colorado in extreme southeast Colorado and dumps six inches of 1-inch hail along US-287/US-385. This insane storm poured hail for over 20 minutes and created a winter-like scene in its wake. Hailstorm started at approximately 5:45pm CDT and ended about 6:05pm.

Opening shots include two scenes of the hail falling with the Campo city limits sign. Various other shots of vehicles getting pounded in the hail during the storm. Shots of various buildings being hammered as well as traffic driving during the hailstorm. Various other scenes include vehicles hiding under trees from the hail, then aftermath shots of traffic driving on the hail covered roads.
