In the morning hours of July 6th 2018, at about 8:15 AM, a motorcycle speed up to beat the stoplight red. The turning SUV had the sun in their face and the combination of speed, sunlight, and needing to clear the intersection ultimately caused this head on accident.
PD says both drivers are at fault, failure to yield on a left turn, and running a red light for both parties.
Motorcycle operator was transported by ambulance to the hospital, and condition is currently unknown.
