A late morning thunderstorm crashed out of the mountains and into the Great Plains with a spectacular shelf cloud emerging over the Flatiron foothills over Boulder. Heavy rain and small hail brought traffic to a crawl on I-25 North of Denver as beneficial rains helped end the drought for North East Colorado!
