Police Presence in Saint Paul due to Armed Suspect

A heavy law enforcement response unfolded around 9:30 AM on Saturday morning, May 3, 2025, in the area of Maryland Avenue just east of Interstate 35E, after authorities received reports of a potentially armed individual in the vicinity. By approximately 11:00 a.m., the situation had peacefully resolved when the suspect surrendered to authorities and was taken into custody without further incident. Law enforcement agencies have not released additional details regarding the individual’s identity, whether a firearm was recovered, or potential charges. Officials from both the Minnesota State Patrol and St. Paul Police Department have been contacted for comment, and we are awaiting an official statement.
