Video Description

he same storm system responsible for the destructive tornadoes in north Texas was also to blame for light snow along the Colorado Front Range and near blizzard conditions on the High Plains. Wind gusts up to 40mph caused wind driven snow to drift nearly a foot or more in places with nearly 6-inches falling in the matter of hours. I-70 was covered in snow completely before plows arrived to clear the road. Several vehicles ended up in the snow banks along the side and in the medians.

Video package opens up with several establishing shots of the heavy blowing snow along I-70 around the town of Limon in Lincoln County which is 90 miles southeast of Denver.

First 42 seconds include establishing shots of heavy snow falling with the I-70 signs, various POV driving shots, and shot of blowing/drifting snow.

0:42-1:40 includes shots of vehicles that ended up in the median due to the heavy snow. First shots of a car in the median with flashers on. Photog running out to car to assist (no on injured). Next shots of a semi in the median between the east and west lanes. Last two shots distance shots of other vehicles stuck in median.

1:40-2:25 includes various shots of stopped cars and semis along I-70. Many vehicles were left on the side of exit ramps along with truckers who opted not to continue in the storm.

2:25-3:09 includes a scene of the main truckstop in Limon where dozens, if not a couple hundred semis stopped for the night to ride out the snow from the safety of the truck stop. Various shots of semis parked, including wide shot with several dozen parked semis in rows at the truck stop.

3:09-3:39 includes wrap up shots of traffic and generic falls/blowing snow.
