Video Description

Less than 12 hours after temperatures climbed to near 60 degrees across Denver, an intense cold front blew through and dumped an unexpected amount of snow across the area making for a messy morning commute. After the front's arrival, up to half a foot of snow fell in just a few hours with some locations recording upwards of 3-inches within one hour. Temperatures dropped over 30-degrees within that 12 hours with sunny, mild skies giving way to heavy snow before daybreak. Snow was winding down when video package was shot, and this storm may be enough to push February 2012 into the snowiest February in the city's history thanks to the nearly 2-feet of snow early this month.

Video package shot in west Denver and opens up with a vehicle failing to get up an icy incline. Shots of a 2-vehicle accident along Wadsworth Blvd near Ralston with cops on scene. Follows of two vehicles in the embankment along I-70 in west Denver. Various POV and traffic shots follow.
