Video Description
A severe storm rapidly developed north of Wichita and lead to golfball sized hail and downburst wind gusts approaching 70mph which did some significant tree/powerline damage in the town of Halstead, a little town about 20 miles north of Wichita. This storm exploded within 20 minutes and caused the damage in Halstead. Damage included two power poles being blown down and blocking a street, a railroad crossing gate was damaged, and numerous tree limbs were downed across town, including a large limb on a house. Storms moved across south-central Kansas through the early evening hours, leading to several more wind and hail reports.
