While the eastern portion of the US shivers in cold and snow, strong down sloping winds ushered warm, unseasonable temperatures into the Denver area on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Highs reached into the low 70\'s threatening records and people took advantage of the nice warmth despite the windy conditions. At times, the Denver skyline was hard to see due to the blowing dust. Prairie Dogs and canines alike frolicked and yapped in celebration of the warm temps. Tulips and daffodils are even breaking ground in anticipation of an early spring.
