Video Description

On May 24, 2021, a large, destructive tornado directly impacted much of the small town of Selden, KS. Storm chasers were able to document the tornado from its genesis to a large, multi-vortex tornado that damaged numerous buildings in town. Footage includes tripoded video and zoomed-in shots of buildings being destroyed by the tornado.
Shot Description

1. Wide shot of tornado and supercell structure as it approached Selden.
2-7. Various shots of the tornado as it grew in size from a cone to a stovepipe tornado with multiple vortices just west of Selden.
8. Tight shot of debris being lofted by the tornado.
9. Shot of rapidly rotating mesocyclone with intermittent vortices below, which lofted debris.
10-11. Tight shots of buildings being destroyed, including a grain silo, whose contents were quickly sucked into the tornado.
12. Shot of multiple vortex tornado impacting Selden.
13. Wide shot of rapidly rotating wall cloud over Selden with intermittent vortices below.
14. Wide shot of tornado after it moved through Selden.
