Video Description

Moderate to heavy lake effect snow squalls worked into the Milwaukee area during the afternoon and evening hours of Tuesday, October 31, 2023. They prompted the National Weather Service in Milwaukee to issue Winter Weather Advisories for the counties of Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Racine, and Kenosha until 6-8 PM that evening. While only 1-2 inches of snow were forecast for the area, strong northwesterly wind gusts up to 35 MPH were also expected, which could cause reduced visibilities with the heavy snowfall expected within the squalls. The following video was captured from the Milwaukee area, showing large snow flakes and windy conditions, along with two timelapses as the snow squalls tracked toward the area over Lake Michigan.
