Some of the most extreme and violent tornadoes caught on film were categorized as EF-5 tornadoes with wind speeds of over 200mph. These scenes are totally insane. The professional and trained storm chasers out in the field capture some of the most prolific tornadoes to ever touch the ground.
You will see many scenes of tornadoes that destroyed and decimated Tornado Alley in the Great Plains as well as tornadoes that tracked their way through Dixie Alley in the Southeast part of the United States.
A tornado is a violently rotating column of air touching the ground, usually attached to the base of a thunderstorm. Tornadoes are nature's most violent storms. Spawned from powerful supercells / thunderstorms, tornadoes cause fatalities and can destroy neighborhoods in seconds. Winds of a tornado may reach 300 miles per hour.
