Per the press release from the Saint Cloud, MN Police Department (SCPD), the SCPD Police where assisting the Saint Paul, MN Police and the Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) with locating a man wanted in connection with a car jacking and shooting that happened in the City of Saint Paul the night before where the man shot at the Saint Paul police. Also it was release that he had an active warrant for aggravated robbery.
Just before 6:00 p.m. tonight, the suspect was located in a vehicle on the 2200 block of Division Street West, also known as Highway 23, in Saint Cloud, MN. Officers blocked in the suspect vehicle with an armored vehicle while attempting to take the man into custody when the man exited the vehicle with a firearm at which time officers from several agencies fired their weapons at the suspect.
