Metro Chicago IL Winter Storm Warning – 1/21/2021

The weekend brought another winter storm to blast the Chicago area along with gusty winds. Several inches of heavy wet snow fell during the evening hours throughout the metropolitan area. Snow covered roads with ice from mixed precipitation created a slow commute for those out and about.
Shot Description

Shots 1-2 – Willis Tower in Chicago being pummeled by snow and wind at Jackson and Wacker.

Shot 3 – The Field Museum being pummeled by snow and wind.

Shot 4 – The Adler Planetarium during strong winds and heavy snowfall.

Shot 5 – The Special Olympic flame being blown around in strong winds and heavy snowfall.

Shots 6-8, 10 – Crews cleaning up the snowfall that continues to accumulate on the streets of Chicago.

Shots 9,11-12 – The snowfall that has already accumulated on the sidewalks of Chicago.

Shot 13 – The Eisenhower Expressway covered in snow with light traffic.

Shot 14 – “Snow Removal In Progress Yield To Plows” on a message board along Interstate 39 south of Rockford.

Shot 15 – Illinois State Police on scene of a car about 100 yards off the roadway on Interstate 88.

Shots 16-20 – POV driving shots of Interstate 88 between Interstate 39 and Interstate 355.

Shot 21 – Ice formations on a sidewalk guide post during mixed prescription.
