Noctilicent Clouds, Rice Lake, WI 6/8/2019

This video package shows an awesome display of the noctilicent clouds in Northwestern WI. As a rule we don’t see these that often this far south, and when we do they aren’t as bright.

A rare look at the Noctilicent Clouds this evening over Wisconsin.

Noctilucent clouds, also called night shining clouds, are tenuous cloud-like phenomena in the extreme upper atmosphere of Earth and consist of ice crystals and are only visible during astronomical twilight.
