Wichita, KS Street Flooding – 1/10/2020

The year’s first severe thunderstorm watch box was issued for portions of southern Kansas into central/western Oklahoma. Storms producing hail and torrential rains developed Friday morning and moved north into southern Kansas, prompting severe thunderstorm warnings to be issued. Torrential rains were also a big issue and lead to a Flood Warning being issued for Wichita due to some ponding on the roads. This all ahead of a major winter storm that is expected to move into the area later this evening into Saturday morning.
