St. Bernard Parish, LA Hurricane Nate – 10/7/2017

Hurricane Nate brought high winds, heavy rain, and storm surge the U.S. Gulf Coast on October 7, 2017. Although Southeast Louisiana was spared by the brunt of Nate, the area still saw numerous impacts, especially in St. Bernard Parish. Here, part of the roof of a business fell on top of and damaged multiple cars, and minor storm surge flooded low-lying areas. Before Nate made landfall, the flood gates on the St. Bernard Parish levee system were closed in preparation for the storm.
