Lightning sparked wildfire near Horsetooth Mountain Park west of Fort Collins Colorado

in the afternoon of June 17th 2016 a very intense electric storm was slowly rolling off the mountains west of Fort Collins, Colorado dropping a lot of lightning. Multiple ground fires were touched off and this fire had the largest fuel supply putting off a very large smoke column that could be seen as far away as the northern edge of the Denver Metro Area.

Video is of the helicopter doing bucket drops on the fire while crews were getting in position with hand lines from the residential area over the backside of the ridge.
