Rare Video footage of a quick hitting and particularly intense Dust Devil Outbreak in progress near the Platte River near Kearney in far south central Nebraska between 4:30 and 5:00PM this afternoon!
The conditions came together perfectly for a regional outbreak of Dust Devils as very cold air aloft and just about the surface mixed with a clear sky and just enough surface heating to spin up dozens of short to moderate lived dust devils over a twenty five minute time frame all at the maximum peak of the Sandhill Crane Migration on the Platte river Valley with well over a half of Million Sandhill Cranes currently in the area and many of which were directly hit and displaced and tossed but the quick forming and fast moving whirl winds!
