Des Moines, Iowa was hit with a Blizzard on Thursday, February 20, 2014. Interstate 35 north from the Missouri boarder until Interstate 80 the roads were very treacherous. I have to admit to a spin out due to the sleet and slush covered Interstate. Having a truck entering the highway on the onramp and another large truck in front of you leaves you with little to do. The snow that has fallen in Des Moines is more of the slush type. The roads have been covered in a wet rain/slush all day. Mimicking a flooded area.
