3/17/2013 Auroras Over Saint Cloud MN

The Luck of the Irish was in the sky but there was no pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, just colorful Aurora Borealis or The Northern Lights that filled the sky in Central Minnesota.

A Geomagnetic Storm is in progress at this moment that was caused by a coronal mass ejection (CME) that hit the Earth's magnetic field at around midnight central time.
