2/25/2013 Kansas City, MO Major Snow Storm At Rush Hour

The beginning of the second round of a major snow storm started in the Kansas City Area around 4pm on Monday, February 25, 2013.

This Snow Storm is the second one for Kansas City in the past week. While driving down State Line Road the crews were out with the truck putting sand down for the icing and snow. Heading west on I-435 the first band of snow came through during rush hour. This small band and wind caused hard to see conditions on the Interstate. The temperature had yet to reach freezing so the roads were still wet kicking up slush. On north bound I-35 traffic became standstill. The visibility was around a half mile to a mile in some spots. The city also had trucks out clearing the sides of the highway as well blowing the snow over onto the grass.
