6/25/2012 Sarasota, Florida, Siesta Key, Tropical Storm Debby Flooding

Tropical Storm Debby continues its assault on the Gulf Coast of the state of Florida with up to fifteen inches of rain, high winds, dangerous surf along with coastal flooding.  The only silver lining to Tropical Storm Debby is the impact on the drought that has been ongoing in Florida for several months.

In the video shot by our crew in Sarasota, Florida on Siesta Key documenting the inland flooding from Tropical Storm Debby is flooding neighborhoods around Canal Road and Plaza De Las Palmas in Siesta Key.  The video shows Beach Road blocked by a Sheriffs vehicle due to flooding.  Several scenes of a car stalled out on Canal Road which flooded out and major flooding along Canal Road showing water up over the curbs and sitting on sidewalks and yards.
