4/26/2012 Two Buttes, CO Lightning and Hail Storm

A long-track supercell that developed in northeast New Mexico moved across the northeast TX Panhandle, across the Oklahoma Panhandle, into southeast Colorado, and eventually into southwest Kansas and left a trail of hail and lightning with it. Across those five states, the storm was warned for several hours with reports up to baseball size hail.

Video package opens with various vivid lightning strikes. Several shots of ragged rotating clouds. Then various shots of hail, up to 1.5″ falling around the town of Two Buttes, CO (southeast of Lamar, northeast of Springfield). Shots include high-contrast hail falling, a couple of hail size shots, and several shots of a vivid rainbow as the storm moved into Kansas.

4/9/2012 Woodward, OK Tornado and Huge Hail Footage – Part1

A slow moving supercell storm produces several tornadoes and huge hail in Woodward County and City, Oklahoma. Video package contains over 4 minutes of footage.

Opening shots of tornado on the south side of Woodward. Multivortex tornado does little damage on south side of town, including snapping power poles which area included in video.

Video continues with hail up to 4-inches in diameter falling. Opens with storm scene with giant hail littering the ground. Various shots of hail falling followed by hail damage shots to vehicles that lost windows. Various shots of hail compared to baseballs and apples.
